ABOUT
Mark McMillan is a guitarist, vocalist and songwriter from the west coast of Scotland. Additionally he has been a drummer for some of Scotland's top wedding bands and he plays and regularly records bass guitar, piano and keyboards. He is also a producer, live/studio sound engineer and composer.
After playing across the UK in bands for 16 plus years - first and foremost his own rock band Dirty Sally, for whom he wrote the music, played guitar and sang - Mark now also plays live in bars across Scotland. He currently performs a variety of rock'n'roll, country, rock, pop and punk style covers and also his own original material.
Mark records all his music in his own purpose built studio. It is situated in a 10 x 22 ft building that he initially renovated for making demos, but now serves as the hub for all his recordings. With a small live room and a myriad of virtual instruments at his disposal, it is also where he writes and records his film score and orchestral music for media and video games.

"WELCOME TO JURASSIC PARK"
(example midi mock-up score)
Recorded in the older software of Reason 3 here is an example of what Mark can get out of his tools, with a piece of music known to most film lovers for it's emotive strings.
As well as rock and pop music, Mark also specialises in unique scores for media.
Utilising virtual instruments from the best music software in the world,
- such as Reason Studio 11, Adobe Audition and Reaper -
Mark brings to life his virtual midi instruments and humanises the performance in a way that far exceeds standard mock ups, allowing in many cases these recordings to be the final product.
Additionally, and depending on budget and time constraints, real orchestral recordings can also be arranged as Mark can notate all scores in house.
